One of Our Many Satisfied Customers Plaster of Paris Invisible Repair
Years ago, we received a call from a distraught man begging us to fix a broken antique. The item in question was a plaster statue of Jesus that had been accidentally knocked to the floor, causing it to shatter upon impact. The man explained that the statue was an heirloom belonging to his mother, and it meant a lot to her. The damage was so extensive that he feared it was irreparable.
When he brought the remnants of the statue to our shop, we could see right away that he was not exaggerating. The plaster statue had been completely shattered into more than 200 pieces, all of which were exactly the same color. Imagine trying to build a 200-piece jigsaw puzzle of a blank white space and you will see what kind of dilemma we faced.
Our team worked tirelessly over many days to connect all the pieces to their appropriate spots. After a long and tiring process, we had finally restored the statue to its original glory. It was no secret why our client valued it so much—it was truly a magnificent item.
On pickup day, the man entered our studio and gazed upon the restored statue with tears welling up in his eyes. He was overjoyed that we had been able to rebuild his mother's statue despite being shattered into hundreds of pieces. As we watched him leave with the statue in his hands and a beaming smile from ear to ear, we felt an enormous sense of pride welling up within our hearts.
